Sevie, who is coached by Zoe Allen, Assistant professional at Lurgan Golf Club, impressed the three-time major winner Padraig Harrington during a session on the driving range at The K Club.

Although appearing a little shy when he arraived at the driving range at the 2016 Irish Open, he soon got on with his practice not in the least phased by some of the world’s top golfing stars standing beside him.

Sevie, who was named after world famous golf star Seve Ballesteros, tees up alongside three-time major winner Padraig Harrington, who was amazed by the tiny golfer’s skills.

Harrington said: “Good Luck Sevie, we will see you in about 20 years time, I’ll be on the senior tour then so I’ll be OK, you won’t be taking my money.”

Before watching Sevie hit a shot with his driver, Harrington added: “Wow, a little Rory McIlroy.”
