The programme at Lisburn City Library begins on Tuesday October 20, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, with Bookbinding, Restoration and Conservation, an illustrated talk by David Dunlop.

Offering a fascinating look at the craftsmanship behind books, David will explore the stages involved in producing books by hand and explain how historic collections are carefully surveyed, cleaned and repaired. Suitable for all ages, this free event requires advance booking.

On Thursday October 22m at 6.45pm, author Stephen Daly will visit the library to discuss his Young Adult debut novel, The Last Death Poet, with members of Lisburn City Library's Teenage Reading Group.

The event offers an opportunity to hear about the inspiration behind the book and explore its themes with the author. Admission is free, with booking advisable.

The week's programme concludes on Saturday 24 October at 2pm, when award-winning author Colin Bateman visits Lisburn City Library for what promises to be an entertaining afternoon of crime, comedy and storytelling.

With more than 30 years of writing experience, Colin has built a successful career spanning novels and screenwriting.

During the event, he will reflect on his books, his writing journey and the experience of bringing stories from page to screen.
