Iceland donates over 4000 lollies to camps this summer
Supermarket Iceland Foods supported summer camps across Northern Ireland by donating more than 4,000 Rocket ice lollies, equivalent to 510 boxes, helping to add a refreshing treat to seasonal fun for campers during the holidays.

Summer camps across Northern Ireland were invited to nominate themselves for Iceland’s giveaway which saw over 20 summer camps and groups across Northern Ireland enter.
Those lucky winners included camps from Ballymena, Belfast and more.
Paul McKnight, Summer Camp Host at Camp YOLO said: “The ice lollies were a huge hit with our campers! Receiving them was such an exciting moment, and they brought lots of laughter, excitement and refreshing fun.
“We're so grateful for the opportunity from Iceland who gave our young people an extra treat and made their summer even more memorable."
Another winning summer camp, Anne Marie Donnelly, Transition Services Manager at The Playtrail, mentioned: "Receiving the ice lollies was a wonderful boost for our summer programmes. The children and young people were delighted, and it gave us the chance to add an unexpected treat to their day. Small acts of generosity like this help create happy experiences and bring extra joy to the children and young people we support throughout the summer."
The initiative was open to a wide range of summer programmes, including sports camps, school clubs and community-led activities. The aim was to reward groups that brought young people together during the summer months.
Ron Metcalfe, Managing Director at Iceland Foods said: “We were delighted to support over 20 summer camps and groups across Northern Ireland this year, by providing a refreshing treat to help campers cool down after their jam-packed outdoor fun.
“Iceland remains committed to engaging with local communities, backing summer initiatives and adding a small but memorable touch to summer camps in Northern Ireland.”
