Snip and tuck makeover show in Hillsborough

THE Lagan Valley Womens Unionist Association, who are celebrating 100 years, are organising a Snip and Tuck makeover show in Hillsborough.

It is a unique, fun event, showcasing fashion and haircare, to appeal to all the style-conscious ladies across the province.

Local business women Lucy Smyth, fashion re-stylist (TailorMaid), and Denise McCluskey, owner of Michele International Hair and Beauty will show you how to revamp and restyle all those forgotten favourites.

Their makeovers on members of the audience will allow them to get creative whilst passing on some practical tips and tricks of their trades.

Lucy will show how to revamp the ill-fitting garments and bad buys hanging in your wardrobe. She will be busy chopping up last season’s garments, showing easy ways to customise and personalise your look, whilst giving advice on the latest trends and how you can adopt them.

In the current economic and environmental climate, this is a great way to bring out the Gok Wan in you all. Denise will demonstrate her flair for hair, advising on colours and cuts to suit the individual, whilst informing everyone on up to the minute styles and techniques normally only seen on television and in glossy magazines. She knows first hand how a new hairstyle can not only transform your image, but even boost your confidence.

The shows are aimed towards women of all ages, sizes and backgrounds - just like real life.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 28 at 8.00 pm. For tickets ring 92682835 or they can be obtained from at Cafe Chimes Hillsborough.
