The Tamnaherin man, has been on loan with the League One outfit since August, making 28 appearances in all competitions to date.

And the former Eglinton Eagles and Maiden City Soccer Academy graduate has now turned that into a full-time deal, signing an 18-month contract at The Den.

Ferguson, made 32 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle, with 19 of those coming as a substitute, and also spent time on loan at Birmingham City and Glasgow Rangers over the last three seasons.

“It’s a relief to get the deal done,” the 24-year-old told millwallfc.co.uk.

“I’ve been keen to get everything sorted and I’m now really looking forward to my future with Millwall.

“I’ve loved every second of my time here so it was a no-brainer to sign on a permanent basis.

“My task now is to help Millwall get back where we belong, which hopefully can be done this season.”
