Duffy enjoys it at Killie

NORTHERN Ireland U19 international Michael Duffy is hoping to secure a professional contract with either League One club Sheffield United or Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.

In recent weeks Duffy has had trials with both clubs and he’s hopeful that he’s done enough to be offered a deal by either club.

“I trained with the Kilmarnock first team and while it was tough, I really enjoyed it,” admitted Duffy.

“I spoke to their manager Kenny Shiels and he said that he’s going to organise another trial soon. I also felt that I did alright at Sheffield United, so I’ll just have to wait and see.”

Also over on trial with the Rugby Park out-fit along with Duffy, was fellow Derry City youngster Caoimhin Bonner, who is now thought to be having a trial with Dundee United.

Unfortunately for the Candy Stipes, both Duffy and Bonner, like Davy McDaid, are all out of contract.
